Introduction.

The data visualization complements the article of the KRO-NCRV by providing insight into the number of privacy violations that have been committed. The aim is to draw the police's attention to this so that it can be better monitored.

Concept.

For the concept we created an interactive street where the user is the police car that records the whole street. When scrolling through the street you can come a cross different point where the user can get more information about why this is violating privacy.

Data.

We used the data we got from De Monitor team. De data contained mainly what was included in the vlogs of the police officers. Which you can see below.

The design was well thought about, but building it was really tricky. The main issue was the car that needed to be placed correctly when scrolling through the website. But altough it was a though cookie it worked wel!
